Michelle Obama turns on Trump saying she will never forgive him for Barack Kenya birther claims

Americas first black first lady reveals she her and her husband, Barack Obama, sought marriage counselling and struggled to get pregnant after she suffered a miscarriage. They underwent in vitro fertilisation (IVF) treatments to conceive daughters Malia and Sasha, now 20 and 17.

Obama also says she will never forgive Trump for peddling false conspiracy theories about her husbands birthplace which, she says, put her familys life in danger from wingnuts and kooks.

“What if someone with an unstable mind loaded a gun and drove to Washington?” she said, according to The Post. “What if that person went looking for our girls? Donald Trump, with his loud and reckless innuendos, was putting my familys safety at risk. And for this Id never forgive him.”

Read more The revelations came before Tuesdays release of Obamas 426-page memoir, Becoming, likely to be a huge hit and reignite speculation over whether she might run for president – a move she has always ruled out.

“The whole [birther] thing was crazy and mean-spirited, of course, its underlying bigotry and xenophobia hardly concealed,” Obama wrote, according to a Washington Post review. “But it was also dangerous, deliberately meant to stir up the wingnuts and kooks.”

Now 54, Obama said she felt lost and alone after a miscarriage 20 years ago. I felt like I failed because I didnt know how common miscarriages were, because we dont talk about them, she said in an interview broadcast on Friday on ABCs Good Morning America breakfast show. We sit in our own pain, thinking that somehow were broken.

Michelle Obamas memoir, “Becoming,” lays out some of the former first ladys most damning statements on record against President Donald Trump, according to excerpts published ahead of the books release next week.

Obama added: Its important to talk to young mothers about the fact that miscarriages happen.

She said: The biological clock is real … egg production is limited. I realised as I was 34 and 35, we had to do IVF. I think its the worst thing that we do to each other as women, not share the truth about our bodies and how they work.

“He doesnt have a birth certificate, or if he does, theres something on that certificate that is very bad for him,” Trump said during an interview with the Fox News host Laura Ingraham in 2011.

Michelle Obama: Id never forgive Trump for promoting birther conspiracy

Obama, a former lawyer and hospital administrator, also disclosed her marriage went through some rocky times, especially after Barack Obama joined the Illinois state legislature, leaving her at home where she was forced to administer IVF shots herself.

She told ABC: Marriage counselling for us was one of those ways where we learned how to talk out our differences. I know too many young couples who struggle and think that somehow theres something wrong with them. And I want them to know that Michelle and Barack Obama, who have a phenomenal marriage and who love each other, we work on our marriage. And we get help with our marriage when we need it.

In the book, Obama reportedly chastised Trump for promoting what she called the “dangerous” birther conspiracy that she said jeopardized her familys safety.

Michelle Obama will never forgive Donald Trump for putting her familys safety at risk

The couple met at the Chicago law firm Sidley Austin. In the book, Obama also describes falling in love one summer night in Chicago. As soon as I allowed myself to feel anything for Barack, the feelings came rushing – a toppling blast of lust, gratitude, fulfilment, wonder.

Ill never forgive him for what he did in many other ways, which Ill talk to you about in the future, Trump said, offering little further explanation for the coded thereat. What he did, because you talked about safety, what he did to our military made this country very unsafe for you and you and you, Trump told reporters.

Obamas speech at the 2016 Democratic convention in Philadelphia, in the throes of a presidential election, remains widely seen as the archetypal antidote to Trumpism. Her plea When they go low, we go high, became a cri de cœur for many progressives, though some say it is now time to fight the president on his own terms.

In her memoir, Becoming, which hits shelves on Tuesday, the former first lady also denounces the sitting president for bragging about grabbing women by the p***y and says her own body buzzed with fury after hearing the infamous Access Hollywood tape, in which Trump brags about sexually assaulting women.

In the book, Obama proves willing to mix it up. She accuses Trump of putting her familys safety at risk by spreading the false birther conspiracy theory against her husband.

Trump suggested repeatedly and loudly in high-profile public forums that Barack Obama, who father was Kenyan, was not born in the US but on foreign soil and therefore ineligible for president. In fact, Barack Obama was born in Hawaii and eventually displayed his birth certificate. Trump eventually, reluctantly, conceded the US president was American-born.

Obama writes: The whole thing was crazy and mean-spirited, of course, its underlying bigotry and xenophobia hardly concealed. But it was also dangerous, deliberately meant to stir up the wingnuts and kooks. Donald Trump, with his loud and reckless innuendos, was putting my familys safety at risk. And for this Id never forgive him.

Pointing and yelling over the sound of Marine One running behind him, Trump said, It was depleted. Everything was old and tired. And I came in, and I had to fix it, and Im in the process of spending tremendous amounts of money, so Ill never forgive him for what he did to our military.

She expresses disbelief over how so many women would choose a misogynist in Trump over Hillary Clinton in 2016. She remembers how her body buzzed with fury after seeing the infamous Access Hollywood tape, in which Trump brags about sexually assaulting women.

Trumps message, according to Obama, in words which appear in the book in darkened print, was: I can hurt you and get away with it.

Obama writes that she will never forgive him for the crazy and mean-spirited claims about her husbands citizenship. The underlying bigotry and xenophobia was hardly concealed, she writes, and it was deliberately meant to stir up the wingnuts and kooks.

She writes how she reacted in shock the night she learned he would replace her husband in the Oval Office and tried to block it all out.

Obama has offered few extensive comments on her White House years since departing the presidential residence on the day of Trumps inauguration in January 2017. Memoirs by former first ladies, including Hillary Clinton and Laura Bush, have been bestsellers.

Then, that night, Obama will be joined by Oprah Winfrey at Chicagos United Center for the kickoff event in the former First Ladys book tour. Obama will spend about five weeks touring the country, speaking to fans at major venues including Brooklyns Barclays Center, Denvers Pepsi Center and Dallas American Airlines Center.

Becoming is part of a joint book deal with Barack Obama – whose memoir is expected next year – that is thought to be worth tens of millions of dollars. The Obamas have said they will donate a significant portion of their author proceeds to charity, including the Obama Foundation.

But she was more than impressed after meeting him, by his rich, even sexy baritone and by his strange, stirring combination of serenity and power. This strange mix-of-everything-man, when she finally let him kiss her, set off a toppling blast of lust, gratitude, fulfillment, wonder.

Obama launches her promotional tour on Tuesday at Chicagos United Center, where tens of thousands of people have bought tickets — ranging from just under $30 to thousands of dollars — to attend the event moderated by Oprah Winfrey. Other stops on a tour worthy of a rock star are planned at large arenas including New York Citys Barclays Center and the Los Angeles Forum.

The high profile events are bound to reignite calls for a presidential run. A recent poll from Axios by SurveyMonkey found that if she ran for president in 2020, Obama would have a 13-point advantage over Trump, while TV star and media entrepreneur Oprah Winfrey would have a 12-point advantage.

In shock: Michelle Obama says in her new memoir that she tried to block it all out when she learned her husband would be succeeded by Donald Trump. She and Barack Obama first met the Trumps in November 2016 after his election victory and again on his inauguration

Obama has long said she has no interest in running for office, although she held a few campaign-style rallies before this weeks midterm elections, urging people to register to vote. She writes: Ive never been a fan of politics, and my experience over the last ten years has done little to change that. I continue to be put off by the nastiness.

Michelle Obama says she can never forgive Donald Trump

Read more Before departing the White House for France on Friday, Trump was asked about Obamas book. He said: Michelle Obama got paid a lot of money to write a book and they always insist you come up with controversy. Ill give you some back.

Obama writes that she assumed Trump was grandstanding when he announced his presidential run in 2015. She expresses disbelief over how so many women would choose a misogynist over Hillary Clinton, an exceptionally qualified female candidate.

Ill never forgive him for what he did to our United States military by not funding it properly. What he did to our military made this country very unsafe.

Michelle Obama Says Shell Never Forgive Trump for Birther Attacks on Her Husband

Author Josh Kendall, who is currently writing a book about how the #MeToo movement casts a new light on presidential history, said: The entire nation was moved by her plea during her speech at the DNC in 2016 to go high instead of low. I would be surprised if a draft Michelle for 2020 drive wasnt started some time at the beginning of her book tour.

Ahead of the books release on Tuesday, a Washington Post review has revealed that Obama makes damning criticism of the current US president, saying that the “dangerous” conspiracy that claimed Barack Obama was not born in America could have endangered her familys safety.

Former first lady Michelle Obama blasts President Donald Trump in her new book, recalling how she reacted in shock the night she learned he would replace her husband in the Oval Office and tried to block it all out.

She adds: “What if someone with an unstable mind loaded a gun and drove to Washington. What if that person went looking for our girls? Donald Trump, with his loud and reckless innuendos, was putting my familys safety at risk. And for this Id never forgive him.”

In her memoir Becoming, set to come out Tuesday, Michelle Obama denounces the president for bragging in 2005 about grabbing women by the p***y.

Prior to his becoming president, Trump repeatedly used social media to question the authenticity of Barack Obamas birth certificate, a matter that was put to rest in 2016 when he conceded he was wrong following a long form copy of the document being released.

Obama not only voices disdain for Trump but also talks about her marriage and IVF, Hillary Clinton, race and her feelings on race.

“The whole [birther] thing was crazy and mean-spirited, of course, its underlying bigotry and xenophobia hardly concealed,” Obama writes in her memoir. “But it was also dangerous, deliberately meant to stir up the wingnuts and kooks.”

Michelle Obama rips Trump in new book

Obama remembers how her body buzzed with fury after seeing the infamous Access Hollywood tape, in which Trump brags about sexually assaulting women.

As part of the books publicity tour, Michelle Obama has also revealed how she felt “lost and alone” after suffering a miscarriage 20 years ago and that she underwent vitro fertilization to conceive her two daughters.

She wrote, It was an expression of hatred that had generally been kept out of polite company, but still lived in the marrow of our supposedly enlightened society — alive and accepted enough that someone like Donald Trump could afford to be cavalier about it.

She also blasts Trumps birther campaign questioning her husbands citizenship, calling it bigoted and dangerous, deliberately meant to stir up the wingnuts and kooks.

“The whole [birther] thing was crazy and mean-spirited, of course, its underlying bigotry and xenophobia hardly concealed,” Michelle writes. “But it was also dangerous, deliberately meant to stir up the wingnuts and kooks. What if someone with an unstable mind loaded a gun and drove to Washington? What if that person went looking for our girls? Donald Trump, with his loud and reckless innuendos, was putting my family’s safety at risk. And for this I’d never forgive him.”

Barack dropped some louche but pointed critiques of the Trump administrations general antipathy toward facts and truth while on the midterms campaign trail, but Michelles new memoir, Becoming, goes in on Trump, a man she says she could “never forgive”.

Michelle Obama will never forgive Donald Trump for putting my familys safety at risk

What if someone with an unstable mind loaded a gun and drove to Washington? What if that person went looking for our girls? Donald Trump, with his loud and reckless innuendos, was putting my familys safety at risk. And for this Id never forgive him.

The attack on Trump comes after her husband used the campaign trail to criticize his successor in a way not seen by a former president in post-war politics.

Always good to see the word “wingnuts” given a run out, even if its as an extremely mild euphemism for potential child-murderer.

Notorious: The 2005 p***y tape saw Trump brag to then-Access Hollywood host Billy Bush: When youre a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab em by the pussy. You can do anything.

The only known meetings between Trump and Michelle Obama were just after the election and on the day the Obamas left the White House and welcomed Donald and Melania Trump to it before he was sworn in as the 46th president.

She first met Trump at the White House when he and Melania went there just after his election win in November 2016, but the meeting appears to have been brief.

Michelle had tea with Melania Trump and the two discussed raising children at the White House, with the then-First Lady giving her successor a tour of the East Wing.

Obama writes openly about everything from growing up in Chicago to confronting racism in public life to her amazement at becoming the countrys first black first lady.

Sojourner Truth (1797-1883) was a former slave who became the 19th centurys best-known African-American womens rights activist and abolitionist.
