“Collectively we have worked hard defensively and only Middlesbrough have conceded fewer goals than us. We have to maintain that and turn the other side of the game into more effective attacks. We are conscious of needing to do that at home. Our supporters have been brilliant. What they have done away from home has been amazing. But, apart from the Leeds game and the first half against Preston we haven’t been fantastic in giving them too much to shout about at home. The effort has been there, they recognise that, but we would like to improve our attacking play for them. We know home form is important. We have made steps in forging a connection between the team and the fans, I think it’s clear to see that, but now we have to give them a bit more. That’s the reality.”
