A mother has today been remanded in custody and will go on trial later this year accused of murdering her two teenage sons.
Later today she will be taken in custody to Sheffield Crown Court, where she is to appear alongside 35-year-old Brandon Machin, who is also accused of murdering the two boys.
Sarah Barrass, 34, is accused of killing Tristan Barrass, 13, and his brother Blake Barrass, following an incident at their home in the Shiregreen area of Sheffield.
She appeared at Sheffield Crown Court this morning for a ten minute hearing alongside their uncle Brandon Machin, 37, who is also accused of murdering the two boys.
It comes after police were called to a semi-detached home in Sheffield’s Shiregreen area at about 7.30am on Friday.
Judge Roger Thomas QC fixed a trial date for November 12 and said the pair will appear again on June 21.
