Adam Armstrong admitted there was a stroke of luck about his equalising goal in the weekend draw with Nottingham Forest but the Rovers man was disappointed it didn’t come in a winning cause.
Armstrong scored for the second successive game, and first in the Championship, six minutes after coming off the bench in the 2-2 weekend draw.
The 21-year-old cancelled out Lewis Grabban’s opener before Bradley Dack handed Rovers the lead. But Grabban scored from the spot as referee Andy Madley awarded the visitors a second penalty of the game, Grabban having blazed over with his first half effort.
They are pushing to get promoted and if we can perform like that against a top side then why cant we do the same?”
"We have to take the positives and one of them is taking on a team who have spent millions," says Adam Armstrong, who admits Rovers were frustrated to take just the solitary point from the game against Nottingham Forest.
