Harry Kane has told Graham Roberts that he is fit ahead of Tottenhams Champions League final against Liverpool.
The 25-year-old England captain has not played since injuring ankle ligaments in the first leg of Tottenhams Champions League quarter-final win over Manchester City last month.
However, former Spurs defender Roberts, who is now an ambassador for the club, is convinced Kane will win his race to be fit for the final in Madrid in 10 days time and thinks Liverpool will need to be wary of his talents.
“Maybe Liverpool are favourites because they were in the final last year and theyve fought for the [Premier League title] until the end. Theyve invested heavily to win either the Premier League or the Champions League in the last few years.
Speaking at the Alan Brazil Golf Day, Roberts told Sky Sports News: “I had my gala dinner the other night for my charity and Harry Kane came, and the first question that was asked was Are you fit?. And he said yes.
Mauricio Pochettino isnt thinking about the possibility of coaching Real Madrid one day and is only focusing on Tottenham Hotspur.
Preparing for his sides Champions League final against Liverpool at the Wanda Metropolitano, the Argentines future has again been called into question.
Madrid is united in support of Liverpool ahead of Champions League final against Tottenham
“Ive no other goals than to train Tottenham,” Pochettino said to Radio MARCA and Copes El Partidazo.
Jan Vertonghen is apparently more likely than not to play in next month’s Champions League final.
Spurs are going to be training at Los Blancos Valdebebas training ground, but Pochettino has revealed an interesting request he was denied when making arrangements for where they would practice.
“We asked, but Florentino [Perez] did not let us. Florentino would say, if you want to train Madrid, then you can sleep there.”
Pochettino has never shied away from calling for reinforcements in London, and he again said he needs more depth.
