Atletico Madrid to enter the market with 183 million euros in hand

The Frenchman has scored 133 goals in 256 appearances for Atletico since joining from fellow Spanish outfit Real Sociedad in 2014.

He has won the Europa League, the Spanish Super Cup and the Uefa Supercup during his time at Atletico and has been the teams top scorer in each of the last five seasons.

Griezmann rejected an offer from Barcelona last year and revealed his thought process in a documentary called The Decision.

Atletico Madrid have plenty of rebuilding to do this summer but will enter the market with a big budget thanks to a number of big sales, including the impending departure of Antoine Griezmann.

Atletico Madrid have pocketed £300m from star strikers like Costa and Aguero

Griezmann will be the third high-profile player to leave Atletico this summer after defender Lucas Hernandez agreed to join Bayern Munich and long-serving captain Diego Godin announced he would leave, with his contract set to expire.

In the same documentary, Yoann Lemaire, president of the association Foot Ensemble and whose history went all over the world. He revealed his homosexuality when he was still a footballer, but this confession made him be sacked from the club.

Antoine Griezmanns impending move to Barcelona will place huge doubt over the future of Philippe Coutinho at the Nou Camp.

That said, Lemaire admitted that not all players and clubs show the same attitude as the Atletico man: "It became more complicated when we went to see the clubs and current players. There was always a good reason not to respond to me."

Liverpool should buy Griezmann to work in tandem with Firmino, says pundit

Coutinho has struggled to hit top form since joining from Liverpool for £142m in January 2018, and sources Ive spoken to say the arrival of Griezmann from Atletico Madrid is likely to see the Brazilian depart.

Paulo Dybala y Mauro Icardi durante una concentración de la selección argentina | AFP THE Icardi CASE  The case with Icardi is different. Hes an out and out striker, like Diego Costa and Alvaro Morata. Despite that, hes an interesting option and has had a difficult season at Inter.

There will inevitably be speculation around Luis Suarez, too, but he has contributed more than Coutinho and it looks like the Uruguayan will stay this summer before quite possibly leaving in a years time.

According to reports, Atletico dont want Griezmanns potential departure to become a battle. If the forward confirms his desire to leave and Barça or another club pay the release clause, they will take advantage of the cash to strengthen Diego Simeones attack.

If Coutinho is moved on, Im hearing a potential destination is Chelsea. The 26-year-old would be among the contenders to replace Eden Hazard – should the Belgium move to Real Madrid.

And the deal that tops the lot: Jackson Martinez to Guangzhou Evergrande in China for £36m just a few months after signing him from Porto for £30m. He barely played and scored just three goals but that did not affect his value.

However Chelseas hopes of making any signings depend on the outcome of an appeal against their transfer ban to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

The only consolation for Atletico Madrid supporters as they watched Antoine Greizmann wave goodbye to them via Twitter on Monday night was that they have been through this all before… and nearly always come out of it stronger.

Atletico Madrid star backed for Liverpool move after huge development

Griezmann on Tuesday announced that he would be leaving Atletico Madrid this summer with Barcelona posed to table a £104million bid to acquire his services.

Barcelonas interest has fuelled talk of Coutinhos exit, with Chelsea touted as a possible destination should FIFA grant them a grace period from their two-window transfer ban.

Interestingly, Barca buying Griezmann may in turn trigger the sale of Coutinho. Were not sure where the Brazilian will end up, but can see one of our Premier League rivals spending the money if we decide against it.

However, Coutinhos agent Andrea Bertolucci has moved quickly to dispel any rumours of his client leaving the Nou Camp.

I dont know why they are saying that. I dont know about that and thats why I dont want to talk anymore, but its false.

Coutinho has notched just 11 goals in 53 games since arriving at Barcelona from Liverpool in a £145m deal in January 2018.
