Just 12 months after Maddison was sold to the Foxes in a deal worth around £25m, the former Coventry City playmaker is attracting the attention of Premier League giants Manchester City and Tottenham.

Leicester have reportedly put a £60m price tag on Maddison and it is understood the Canaries would take 15 per cent of any profit made by Leicester on the deal, which would amount to between £5-6m.

Tottenham see Maddison as an ideal replacement for Christian Eriksen, who could leave the Champions League finalists this summer with just one year left on his contract. Real Madrid are apparently keen on the Danish international.

Meanwhile, Manchester City are trying to find an heir to David Silva, 33, at the Etihad with Maddison high on their list of options and manager Pep Guardiola known to be an admirer of Maddison.

The 22-year-old was crowned Leicesters young player of the season after his debut Premier League campaign, which saw him score seven goals and make seven assists in 35 appearances.

He earned his first England senior call-up earlier this season but was an unused substitute and he has since been included in the England Under 21s squad this summer for the European Championships finals in Italy and San Marino.

City sporting director Stuart Webber admitted that Maddisons sale to Leicester last summer averted a financial disaster at Carrow Road.

The end of Premier League parachute payments necessitated his sale and after scoring 14 goals in 42 league games, Norwich werent short of takers.

Leicester won the race and he has been a revelation in the top-flight and it appears only a matter of time before he is plying his trade for one of English footballs biggest clubs.

Maddison was signed by Norwich in January 2016 for £2.5m and loaned back to Coventry for the rest of the season before spending the majority of the 2016/17 season on loan at Aberdeen.
