Fans will march through Leicester to pay tribute to late owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha

“It shows fans, club, staff and players are united in this moment. We are like a family.”

We will see after the international break if they can come back in the team. Maguire’s is a little more serious than Maddison’s. We will see.

Former Leicester City boss Craig Shakespeare reveals training ground visit to support grieving players

It was a long journey but very important for us, for the players and staff to support Vichai’s family. It was a chance for us also to have togetherness and to honour our chairman. It was a long trip but it was very important for us and our chairman.

Shakespeare also said he will be in the stands on Saturday as Leicester play at the King Power Stadium for the first time since the accident, which occurred after their 1-1 draw home draw with West Ham two weeks ago.

Claude Puel says preparing Leicester for Burnley match has not been easy

“I think most of the family will be here, I don’t know who exactly. They will be here to receive all the support from the fans, the club. It’s important to have all the family together on Saturday and to support and to our honour chairman.”

“In the last game, we formed the right balance between emotions and concentration. I think it’s the most important thing to manage this emotion of the events at our next game and to have the possibility and to give then good response and to honour our chairman. We need to find this balance.

“We cannot make a lot of training sessions but I said it was a good energy. This journey was good for us. All this togetherness, we showed out positive attitude.”

The ex-Foxes assistant and manager joined talkSPORT on Thursday to speak about the tragic helicopter accident which claimed the life of the clubs owner and four others on October 27.

“We didn’t have a lot of training sessions. We did a little session on Wednesday, a light session after the journey. We trained today and there is another light session on Friday.

I was made to feel so welcome. To see all the other staff and then go out to see the players and Claude, and I have to say that Claude made me feel so welcome, I had lunch with him.

“It’s not easy to prepare this game. I think our togetherness gives us a good energy and fantastic strength. Our spirit, positive attitude and all the support from our fans will be important.”

“Harry will not be available for this weekend and the internationals games also, it will be the same for Maddison.

I spent ten years at Leicester and you feel the hurt, you feel the pain, he told talkSPORT host Jim White on Thursday.

“We will see after the international break if they can come back, Maguire’s injury is a little more serious than Maddison’s.

“(For Maguire) It will be a few weeks, we will make a point about his comeback after the international break.

Just to offer some sort of support to everyone at the training ground and at the stadium, it felt right to do.

“(Maddison) feels something the day after the Cardiff game. It;s not too serious but he will not play this game.”

I had a visit to the training ground last week. I left it late because emotionally I had a lot to do with the players, staff and everybody, so you don’t want to feel as though you’re forcing yourself on them.

Puel was part of a large delegation comprising players and staff to Thailand following their match against Cardiff City last weekend, where they paid their respects to the late chairman.

The Srivaddhanaprabha family and everyone at Leicester City Football Club have been deeply moved by the remarkable volume of generous and thoughtful tributes left at King Power Stadium in the wake of the tragedy of 27 October that claimed the lives of five people, including our beloved chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha. The extraordinary scenes of compassion and condolence demonstrated on Filbert Way in the last week have been an enormous source of comfort and strength to the families involved and to everyone whose lives have been touched by recent events. The support of our fans, our community and the football world during this darkest of weeks will never be forgotten. In the spirit of this, ahead of Saturday’s visit of Burnley the club will begin the process of carefully and respectfully relocating tributes, ensuring the compassion, kindness and love that have been so evident in the last week are sentiments that will endure.

We didn’t really want it to be like this but at the end of the day we are human beings, everyone is a human being and we are thankful for all the support we have received. That is what sport can do. It can bring people together in ways not many people can.

A second Quarter-Final tie will also be screened live on Tuesday 18 December, although the selected fixture can only be confirmed following Leicester City’s rearranged Round Four tie with Southampton on Tuesday 27 November. If Claude Puel’s team win, their Quarter-Final match with Manchester City will be screened live on Sky Sports on Tuesday 18 December. However, if Southampton progress, Middlesbrough’s match with Burton Albion will be the selected TV tie as Mark Hughes’ team cannot play on Tuesday due to their scheduled Premier League clash with Arsenal on Sunday 16 December.

We have to try and do as we do usually, even though it’s a difficult and special game. I think we all know it’s going to be a special game. It’s their first game back since the accident. It’s going to be very emotional.

Thousands of Leicester fans are expected to march through the city in tribute to Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha ahead of the clubs first Premier League home game since his death.

Authorities are preparing to guide 20,000 people on a route that starts from Jubilee Square at 12.45pm and finishes at the King Power Stadiums car park E, next to the site of the helicopter crash that claimed the Leicester owners life and those of four others.

The walk covers nearly two miles, travelling along Upperton Road, Raw Dykes Road and Western Boulevard, and is meant to convey the depth of feeling for a man who transformed the club and also assisted the citys charities.

Leicester have said the vast memorial that bloomed outside the ground after the crash following the West Ham game nearly a fortnight ago will be moved by the time Burnley visit on Saturday.

A club statement read: The Srivaddhanaprabha family and everyone at Leicester City Football Club have been deeply moved by the remarkable volume of generous and thoughtful tributes left at King Power Stadium in the wake of the tragedy of 27 October that claimed the lives of five people, including our beloved Chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.

In the spirit of this, ahead of Saturdays visit of Burnley the club will begin the process of carefully and respectfully relocating tributes, ensuring the compassion, kindness and love that have been so evident in the last week are sentiments that will endure.

On Friday 9 November, the final day of Khun Vichais funeral in Bangkok, floral tributes will be relocated to a designated area close to the accident site near the south-east corner of King Power Stadium.

The club would like to invite supporters to be part of this relocation, which is closer to the accident site. Our fans created this stadium tribute, and we dearly wish for you all to be part of the relocation of the flowers, now that the accident site has recently been handed back to the club.

Ahead of kick-off a number of events are planned. A special video will be shown on the big screens at 2:45pm and supporters will be gifted commemorative scarves, pin badges, clap banners and souvenir matchday programmes in honour of Srivaddhanaprabha.

The fixture is also Leicesters annual Remembrance Day commemoration, and a two-minute silence will be observed before the game to honour those sacrifices as well as the five lives lost at King Power Stadium. At half-time, veterans and Armed Forces personnel will parade around the pitch.

Srivaddhanaprabhas name will be embroidered on the teams match shirts during the first half, while the second half jerseys will bear the embroidered poppy symbol.
