A Lancaster woman has been charged with several felonies for allegedly cashing forged checks and using credit cards belonging to her employer, Shakespeare Home Improvement.
Police in West Hempfield Township in Lancaster County said they have charged Crystal L. Roten, 50, with offenses including forgery, theft by deception and access device fraud.
Police allege Roten illegally wrote out more than 40 checks to herself and made unauthorized purchases for herself using a company credit card. Police said the alleged offenses happened between early 2017 and September, resulting in a loss of about $75,000 for her employer.
