A large quantity of diazepam tablets were found and a 44-year-old man arrested and charged in connection with the find.
Detective Inspector Steven Elliot said: This was a significant seizure of tablets that may have been circulated in the local community. Usually there is no quality control to the pills we recover and the people who buy them have no way of knowing what is in them.
We remain committed to ridding our communities of illegal drugs and we will continue to act on any criminality and intelligence received.
“Those living in our local communities play a vital part in this and if you have any information on those involved in the supply of controlled drugs, please contact your local police office through 101.
“Alternatively contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
