EXCLUSIVE: The field training operation in Norway is NATOs biggest military exercise in more than 30 years – as it flexes its muscles in warning to Putin
More than 400 complaints have been made about NATO soldiers making a mess after the largest joint exercises since the Cold War.
Some of the complaints are about soldiers relieving themselves in public areas, close to kindergartens and leisure facilities, according to NRK.
This is terrible, its about having common decency. We have to clean up after soldiers who have relieved themselves. Its literally a s**ty job. Major Marianne Bø of the Norwegian Armed Forces told the public broadcaster.
“I learned early in my career that if you see something that is not to standard or not within the law and you ignore it, youve set a new standard, and its lower,” Dunford said Monday. “When I talked to my Chinese counterpart, I said, look, this is not about a pile of rocks in the Pacific. Its about enforcing international law and a coherent response to your violation of international law.”
