Live EFL on Sky Sports: Derby vs Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa vs Leeds and more

Former Leeds United star is set for shock move; Aston Villa eye familiar target; Spurs eye playmaker

Sky Sports has announced its latest selection of live Sky Bet EFL fixtures, with promotion hopefuls and local rivals going head to head over Christmas and the New Year.

Nine further Sky Bet Championship fixtures have been added to the schedule for December and the start of January as part of a bumper festive offering following Sky Sports latest Premier League picks.

Firstly Leeds trip to Villa Park to face Dean Smiths side has been moved from December 22 to December 23 and is now set for a 1:30pm kick-off. The trip to Nottingham Forest has also been changed but remains on New Years Day (January 1) and will now take place at a later kick-off time of 3pm.

Leeds United have today announced that three crucial Championship fixtures in December and Janaury have been moved for Sky TV.

United will also be shown a further three times in their next five games again after being chosen for full coverage with trips to West Bromwich Albion (November 10) and Sheffield United (December 1) selected along with the visit of Reading (November 27) to Elland Road.

The Whites are now very accustomed to having games moved, with the TV company regularly choosing to show the Yorkshire club due to the high viewing figures they attract.

Leaving out Tomori cannot have been down to his performance against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge a few days earlier, because he got man of the match. So, is Frank looking for that “best” pairing, the right balance?

And, the club confirmed on their website that games against Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest and Derby have all been moved.

Frank Lampard’s decision to change the pairing of Richard Keogh and Fikayo Tomori on Saturday after an 18-game run together has put the spotlight on those positions in the Derby team.

Leeds will now play at Villa Park on December 23 at 1:30pm, whilst they face Forest at the City Ground at 3pm on New Year’s Day.

Dean Smith’s men recorded a relatively comfortable victory over the Trotters but they remain five points away from the play-offs and seven behind Saturday’s opponents.

The final altered game is on January 11, a Friday night, when Bielsa’s men welcome the Rams to Elland Road.

You just had to – Plenty of Aston Villa fans are frustrated after Leeds announcement

As mentioned, Leeds fans expect this and here’s how they reacted to the update from the club…

Could you ask them to tell us which games they wont be showing live make life a lot easier????????????
