COPS are hunting a shooter after a man was gunned down in the middle of a street in Birmingham – with bullets all over the pavement.
The victim was blasted in the back and arm at around 11pm with cops rushing to the scene and sealing off the street.
Pictures from the crime scene in Belchers Lane, Alum Rock, clearly show a gun ammunition cartridge containing bullets on the road.
The victim, 21, was rushed to the hospital but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
West Midlands Police said no arrests have been made and they are appealing for information to find the shooter.
Inspector Jon Kiteley from force CID, said: “We are in the early stages of this investigation and asking anyone who was in the area at the time to get in touch with us.
“We are keen to speak to anyone who has any information that could assist us in understanding the circumstances around this shooting.”
A witness, who did not want to be named, told BirminghamLive how he woke up to the sound of gunshots.
“I was home, and I only left after hearing emergency service sirens repeatedly. I left my house soon after and saw armed police, police cars and an ambulance.
“To be honest I wasn’t terrified, it was more shock and it was the second shooting in the areas in 6 months.”

The incident happened on Belchers Lane at the junction with Cotterills Lane in the Alum Rock area just before 11pm last night (Wednesday 15 May).
The man was left with two gunshot wounds and taken to hospital with injuries to his back and arm that are not believed to be life threatening or life changing.
Alum Rock Road and Cotterills Lane have been closed in both directions. Drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
